Treetops in Otterburn, near Bellingham, Northumberland sleeps 6 people. Treetops is a lovely and modern three bedroom lodge, situated amongst other similar lodges. With comfortable sofas, TVs in all bedrooms and a superb 55” wall-mounted Smart TV with Netflix and access to Amazon Prime TV in the living/dining room, it is a perfect retreat for relaxing both inside and out. Trees to the rear offer some privacy around the raised decked area complete with a hot tub and seating for six. The lodge is ideal for families and couples, and perfect if you are attending a wedding at one of the nearby wedding venues in the village.
The lodge park is set just within the Northumberland National Park boundary so is ideal for catching those beautiful dark skies on a clear night. The village pub is just under a mile away, and a little further along is the friendly village shop selling wines and everyday essentials. If you need a bigger shop the large supermarkets do deliver, or Bellingham is only 9 miles away and offers a supermarket. The Coach House located on site currently opens at selected times and serves great food.
From Otterburn it is easy to reach Kielder Observatory, set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, which is perfect for star gazing (prior booking needed). A day trip over to the Northumberland Heritage Coast will make for a great day out with miles of unspoilt beaches and historic castles. The lively city of Newcastle upon Tyne is only 32 miles away and perfect for trips to the theatre, shopping, culture and music, and Hexham Abbey is approximately 25 miles away.
Northumberland has been voted the best UK county to visit in the British Tourism Awards in 2018. With its rugged moors and hills, golden sands, National Park, friendly locals, cities and fishing villages, there really is something for everyone. Come back and soak up the atmosphere in the hot tub at Treetops and rejuvenate yourself for the next day out.

Bathroom: With shower over bath, toilet and heated towel rail.

The delightful village of Otterburn, once the site of the famous 1388 victory of the Scots over the English, nestles close to the banks of the River Rede, between the hills and moors overlooking the North Tyne Valley. It offers excellent walking opportunities and is on a variety of popular routes for cyclists. Hadrian’s Wall and the beautiful Kielder Forest and Waters are close by, providing fantastic fishing, horse riding and nature watching, amidst superb, tranquil countryside. Otterburn is the former home of a busy weaving industry, and the world famous Otterburn Mill marks the village’s historic past. Nearby Bellingham, built predominantly from local stone and slate, houses a handful of pubs, shops and tea rooms and a highly regarded 18 hole golf course. Visit the nearby, majestic, stately homes of Wallington Hall and Cragside, or the historic market town of Alnwick, with its stunning castle and gardens, a mere 40 minute drive. Otterburn is a superb location for a relaxing holiday, any time of year.
