Our lodge is deep cleaned between guests and disinfected using high grade products and we provide soap and hand sanitiser for your use. There are no communal or reception areas so you can very easily socially distance here. There is no need to meet a soul! The hot tub is sanitised and monitored daily maintaining chlorine levels for your safety and peace of mind.
Lodge 5 sits within Otterburn Hall Estate in Northumberland National Park. It is an area of outstanding natural beauty boasting the largest dark sky area in Europe accredited with a Gold Tier International Dark Sky Park award. The sky is breath-taking on a clear night. The Lodge is a perfect location to relax and unwind and an excellent base to explore the vast Northumberland countryside, coastlines, and surrounding areas. The lodge is an excellent true home-from-home base to visit nearby attractions.
Outdoor activities are a huge attraction in the area and the County is a favourite for walkers and adventure seekers alike. Lodge 5 is the perfect base for day trippers to come back to and then relax in the private sunken hot tub under the stars.
Within your five-hundred-acre estate you are surrounded by nature. There are two lakes and a burn on the estate which are yours to enjoy during your stay. Also, there is a fantastic network of public footpaths so you don’t have go too far to find stunning scenery and see an abundance of wildlife! Enjoy watching deer, an array of birds including buzzards plus very regular visits from the red squirrels to your balcony!
Otterburn village is approximately one mile away which is a few minutes’ drive or a pleasant twenty-minute walk along a footpath through the fields. The village has a castle, mill shop, café & village shop.
The nearest restaurant and lounge bar is approximately one hundred metres away called The Coach House. In Otterburn village you will find Le Petit Chateaux and Otterburn Castle. They all offer excellent food and are visitor, family, and dog friendly. The lodges are directly behind the old Otterburn Hall Hotel which is undergoing refurbishment following National Lottery funding.
The local shop in Otterburn village stocks most items you would need but for anything else the nearest town is Bellingham only a beautiful twenty-minute drive over the hills from the Lodge.
Major supermarkets all deliver direct to the lodges.

Lounge area with new 55″ 4K smart tv. Free Netflix and fast fibre broadband. Boombar via Bluetooth connectivity for music on the balcony. DVD player with a huge collection of DVDs. Two large three seater sofas with four reclining seats. A selection of games, artist materials and colouring books. Electric radiators. The lodge is very well insulated and warm.

Kitchen with kettle, toaster, electric oven and hob, microwave, large fridge freezer, slow cooker and washer/dryer. Very well equipped with cooking utensils and essential pantry items. The water supply is UV filtered from a natural spring.
Porch, dining, hallway and kitchen areas have wooden floors. Living room and bedroom areas are carpeted.
Bedroom 1 – king size bed, bedside cabinets & large fitted wardrobes. Roberts radio/alarm clock. Electric radiator.
Bedroom 2 – two single beds, bedside cabinet & fitted wardrobes containing travel cot with basinet and baby bedding. Highchair. Electric radiator.
Bedroom 3 – bunk beds & fitted wardrobe. Pirate themed bedding and stars on the ceiling. Electric wall heater.
Bathroom – with shower over bath, basin and toilet. Mirrored wall cabinet and storage unit.
All bed linen and towels are supplied but bring a beach towel or robe for outside 🙂
Retractable washing line. Antlers to hang your bath robes or towels.
Dogs are all very welcome and can stay for free! We provide dog towels, blankets, bowls and even poop bags.
On site car parking for two large cars. Alternative parking for occasional visitors is on site.
